Seeders Increase Efficiency
Seeders are a huge asset on a farm or homestead. They make sowing those small to medium sized seeds a dream. A good seeder allows the grower to optimize spacing, save on seed, and reduce labor all at once. Many commercial growers today are using seeders to maximize the efficiency of their farms.

The Jang is one of the best models out there. It is a Korean-made tool that uses rollers and brushes to singulate the seed, and a couple of sprockets and a chain─just like those on a bicycle─regulate the seed spacing. It’s heavy enough that the seeder stays steady as it is propelled across the bed, and allows for a firming action as it sows the seed, creating a very good seed-to-soil contact.
The Jang is well-constructed and durable enough to last for years to come, with a long list of replacement parts available. Johnny’s even offers the Instruction Manual on their website, as well as this chart depicting the various seed rollers available for the Jang, allowing the grower to plant a wide variety of crops with this tool.

Then, on Tuesday, November 21st the winner will be selected at random by Rafflecopter. The winner will be contacted by email to verify the entry, and that person will have 24 hours to respond to the congratulatory email. If that email goes unanswered a new winner will be chosen.
Once the winner has been verified we can announce it here on the blog and on our social media networks. The seeder and rollers will be sent to the winner straight from the Johnny’s Selected Seeds warehouse in Winslow, Maine.
