Snow-Day!

What could be better than staying in the comfort and warmth of your house during one of Maine’s famous snow-storms?

This is the view from the back door of the Runamuk homestead.  From here you can see down over the hillside, and across to the neighbors’ through the snow and wind.  The gardens of the summer have all been blanketed; only the boys’ blue plastic wading pool (which we somehow neglected to bring in for the winter) breaks the monotony of white and brown and grey of the day.

So the order of the day calls for baking!  And the homestead has been filled with the wholesome aroma of my tried and true, oatmeal bread.

Enjoy the day!
